Career

Mayers became a member of the A$AP Mob crew in 2007, which was a group of rappers, producers, music video directors, fashion designers, and motorcyclists from Harlem who were all interested in the same things: music, fashion, style, and art. A$AP Yams, A$AP Bari, and A$AP Illz had formed it. Mayers’ tune “Purple Swag” was released in July 2011 and swiftly became a New York City street anthem.

After being released online in August 2011, Mayers’ tune “Peso” was played on the well-known Hot 97 New York radio station a few weeks later. A number of record labels took notice of him after he published a music video for his song “Purple Swag”. He released the mixtape Live. Love in October. A$AP to praise from critics. In 2022, Mayers accompanied the Red Hot Chili Peppers on their stadium tour around the world. He played a 20-minute set after the Chili Peppers after arriving late for a show at Old Trafford in Manchester.

Mayers released the single “D.M.B.” in May 2022, and “Shittin’ Me” in December.
