Draymond Green Faces Indefinite Suspension After Recent Incident

Following his latest transgression, involving a head-on collision with Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkić, the National Basketball Association (NBA) has opted to mete out consequences to Draymond Green, the standout player for the Golden State Warriors, with an unspecified duration of disciplinary action.

It is Green’s sixth ban in his career and his second this season. The suspension “takes into account Green’s repeated history of unsportsmanlike conduct.”

A statement released by the league stated “Green’s suspension will take effect immediately.” Before he can return to the field, he will have to meet some criteria.

If the suspension lasts for less than 20 games, Green will be penalized $154,000 per game, and if it lasts for more than 20 games, he will be penalized $203,000 per game.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Thursday’s episode of “Get Up” that Green, his agent Rich Paul, and Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. will meet later in the day. “And they will begin a conversation with the league about how this will work,” Wojnarowski said.
