Career
Shaidorov’s father, Stanislav, was a figure skating coach and would frequently take his young son to the rink where he worked. At the age of six, Shaidorov eventually started skating himself in 2010. Shaidorov, who was first coached by his father, finally developed a strong interest in figure skating after seeing Yuzuru Hanyu compete and consistently set world records on television during the 2015–16 season. Furthermore, Shaidorov began to acquire motivation after witnessing Denis Ten’s role in the growth of figure skating in Kazakhstan.
Shaidorov and his father attended a training camp led by former Russian Olympic champion Alexei Urmanov in the beginning of 2017. It was in the camp that Shaidorov made his first double axel landing. Shaidorov started learning how to leap triples as a result of this occurrence, and less than a year later, he accomplished it.
Shaidorov’s parents arranged for their son to relocate to Sochi, Russia, in 2018 so that he could practice under Alexei Urmanov full-time, as there were no training rinks in Kazakhstan with top-tier skaters at the time.
At the 2020 Kazakh Championships, Shaidorov took home his first national championship. After that, he was chosen to participate in the 2020 World Junior Championships, where he placed twenty-second.

Shaidorov and other skaters focused on improving through extended off-ice training after the COVID-19 outbreak significantly reduced their training and competitive possibilities. At the 2021 Kazakh Championships, he won his second straight national championship to start the season. He later won the Sofia Trophy in 2021 with a bronze medal.
Shaidorov was chosen to compete in the 2021 World Championships in Stockholm, Sweden, but his performance would suffer due to a back injury he sustained just before the competition. He wouldn’t make it to the free program phase after placing thirty-second in the short program.
For the second time in a row, Shaidorov won gold in the 2025 CS Denis Ten Memorial Challenge to start his season. Following that, he participated in the 2025–26 Grand Prix series and took home the bronze at the 2025 Cup of China. After the free skate, he remarked, “I am really satisfied overall, even though there were some mistakes.” “I tried not to miss anything, to go till the end, no matter how hard it was.”
He moved up from third place to earn the silver medal at 2025 Skate America the following month. “It’s pretty hard for me to get into the season, and I think the mistakes were more like a mental thing,” he remarked after making blunders in both programs. I believe it will improve because I gained a lot of experience from this competition.
