In the 2015 Canadian federal election, Rizqy campaigned for the Liberal Party of Canada in the Hochelaga riding. She lost by 500 votes to incumbent Marjolaine Boutin-Sweet of the New Democratic Party. When Stéphane Dion resigned in 2017, Rizqy ran for the Liberal candidacy in the Saint-Laurent by-election.
