Career
At the age of sixteen, Haley started her pageant career by competing in Miss Minnesota Teen USA 2009, finishing third behind Vanessa Johnston, the eventual winner. The next year, she entered the competition again and won the title of Miss Minnesota Teen USA 2010. She qualified to represent Minnesota at the Miss Teen USA 2010 competition, which took place at Atlantis Paradise Island in Paradise Island, Bahamas, as Miss Minnesota Teen USA. She did not place in the tournament; Maryland’s Kamie Crawford emerged victorious.
Kalil participated in the 2013 Miss Minnesota USA 2014 pageant in Burnsville, Minnesota, as a senior in college. After winning the title, she was granted the opportunity to represent Minnesota at the 2014 Miss USA pageant in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Kalil finished in the top twenty at Miss USA before Nevada’s Nia Sanchez won the title.
